Maringi holds a Bachelor of Laws and Diploma in Te Reo Māori from the University of Waikato and is admitted to the High Court of New Zealand. She has previously worked for New Zealand's top law firm, Bell Gully and currently works for the Community Law Centre in Waikato. A Prime Minister’s Scholarship recipient, her advocacy for environmental justice and access to law has been shaped by international experience. She co-founded Pāketu, a free online legal clinic, and leads a consultancy focused on climate solutions for marae, hapū, and Māori businesses. Maringi also co-founded Te Ahoroa, a by-Māori, for-Māori law student magazine. She is also a published author.
